CHURCH AND FATHER'S DAY IN SPAIN

Today being Sunday we found a right-on church for the fellowship of the saints. It's called the International Church of Barcelona. It is an Assembly of God (AOG) church (pentecostal) that we found on the web. There is no Calvary Chapel yet in Barcelona or the captial city of Madrid (a point of prayer). We did a Google map with walking directions and found it was only about a mile and a half hike. The people were very friendly. The service was in English and was an hour and a half long. The time included worship with their praise band (most of the songs we knew). Then this sacred-dance team from Ohio did some praise dance to recorded music. (Heb 10:25) not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Then pastor Dan came up and shared the Word from the book of Acts. After that he had us break off into prayer groups. We met a lot of people and had a great time in the Lord. We missed being in a Calvary Chapel but it's good to be with God's people of different persuasions! (Eph 4:3) endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

The day was also Father's Day. My family did not forget! I received cards and gifts. We capped off the fine day with going out to an Italian restaraunt and had yummy pizza and lasagne and even dessert! We felt stuffed so we took a short walk to the famous Plaza de Catalunya and took some pics. (Gal 4:6) And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"

Tomorrow we leave for Paris!

Buenos noches...
