IS THIS YOUR SENIOR PICTURE?

No, not your senior in high school picture. I mean when you get old. Bitterness of heart can lead to a bitter looking face. If you are having a hard time with bitterness consider what we studied last night at Bible study (Ruth 1:19-22):

· Many non-believers are hardened and bitter because of hurtful and disappointing circumstances in their lives. - (Exo 1:14) And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage; in mortar, in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor.

· Believers too can become bitter towards others - (Heb 12:15) looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

· We can become bitter towards our spouses - (Col 3:19) Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.

· We are to put bitterness away from us and replace it with kindness and forgiveness - (Eph 4:31-32) Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. {32} And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

· Truly life without Jesus is bitter but His death on the cross (tree) can turn the bitter into sweet!! - (Exo 15:23-25) Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. {24} And the people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" {25} So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them. And there He tested them,

DON'T BE BITTER...BE BETTER!!
